KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Ann Joo Resources Bhd’s (AJR) indirect wholly owned subsidiary, IAC Infrastructure Sdn Bhd (IACI), has entered into a subcontract agreement worth RM61.89 million.
The agreement relates to the development of an approximately 100-megawatt alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the northern region.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said IACI had, on Oct 2, 2026, executed an agreement with an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contractor as a subcontractor to undertake turnkey design and build, testing and commissioning of interconnection facilities and transmission line works for the project.
“The electricity generated by the project is intended to be delivered to the national grid via Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) electricity transmission system.
“The project is aligned with Malaysia’s efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity through the development of large-scale solar photovoltaic facilities,” stated Ann Joo.
The EPCC contractor's identity is not disclosed in this announcement due to confidentiality obligations. The EPCC contractor is a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia and is principally engaged in the activity of electrical and mechanical supplies and services.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the project is expected to be completed on or before the third quarter of 2027.
IACI is principally engaged in the activity of construction, engineering and infrastructure development works.
