KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- RegASK has expanded its agentic artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for life sciences and consumer products companies, automating routine compliance tasks while keeping key regulatory decisions under expert oversight.
“The real bottleneck in regulatory affairs is not simply knowing what has changed. It is translating that intelligence into decisions and coordinated action across products, markets and teams,” said RegASK founder and chief executive officer, Caroline Shleifer in a statement.
She said the system lets AI agents carry out repetitive tasks and coordinate follow-up actions, allowing experts to focus on critical regulatory decisions.
The launch follows RegASK’s 2026 State of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Report. It found that only seven per cent of respondents said their organisations could identify a new requirement and carry out a response plan within 48 hours.
The new configurable workflows automate impact assessment, task assignment, label compliance project reviews and stakeholder communications, recording the outcome of each step. Through a tool called Automation Builder, teams can set workflows to be triggered by regulatory alerts or run on a schedule.
For example, when a limit on a sweetener changes, RegASK can identify affected products, assign actions and flag active label compliance projects. A separate Newsletter Builder tool can prepare print-ready briefings in multiple languages, while regulatory decisions remain subject to human review.
RegASK is also introducing Ingredient Registry, a database providing source-linked information on whether ingredients are permitted, along with numeric limits, by market and product category. It initially covers the European Union, United States, Brazil, Canada and Mexico.
The expanded workflows are available to existing RegASK customers. Ingredient Registry is offered to selected design partners through a separate early-access programme.
