PETALING JAYA, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s Rock Queen Ella will take a year-long break from the entertainment industry after her grand finale concert, Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen Ella: Sidang Penutup, at Unifi Arena, Bukit Jalil, on Dec 5, to focus on agricultural projects, particularly the palm oil industry, which she runs with her husband.

The concert will bring the curtain down on the Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen tour, which has drawn more than 70,000 fans through performances at TM Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil, Singapore and Penang throughout the year.

Hitman Group founder and chief executive officer Rohit Rampal said the concert reflected the organiser’s commitment to producing shows that not only celebrated artistic legacies but also made a meaningful impact on society.

“For Hitman Solutions, every concert we organise is an effort to convey a meaningful message to the local music industry. From the outset, we viewed the Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen tour as a phenomenon that deserved to be celebrated on a grand scale, culminating in this finale,” he told reporters at a press conference on the concert yesterday.

He said Ella’s ability to draw tens of thousands of fans across different generations was among the key factors behind the concert series.

Rohit said the grand finale would also feature Yuna and Datuk Ziana Zain, while introducing an Audience Choice concept that would allow fans to determine the performance theme and song list.

“For those who feel that this year’s tour has been enough, believe me, the finale will offer a different kind of enjoyment and experience. This is not a moment that can easily be repeated in the near future,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ella invited fans to join her in celebrating the concert as a fitting conclusion to the artistic journey they had shared throughout the year.

“If we began this journey together, let us bring it to a close together too. We will create memories that we will cherish forever,” she said.

The recipient of the Sri Wirama Award at the 25th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) said she would use the break to focus on agriculture, a field she had been involved in for the past few years.

“Besides my entertainment career, I have been involved in agriculture for several years. So, next year, I want to focus on this field, particularly the palm oil industry. I am only taking a break from entertainment activities; I will continue with my other pursuits,” she said.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale tomorrow, with prices starting at RM179. They can be purchased online via the official website at www.hitmanlive.com.
