KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- LRN Corporation, an ethics and compliance solutions provider, has appointed Omar Malik as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific (APAC) as the company steps up efforts to grow its presence in the region.
Malik, who will be based in Singapore, will lead LRN’s business across APAC. The company said the appointment would strengthen its ability to help global organisations build strong ethical cultures that deliver better performance and ensure compliance.
LRN Chief Executive Officer, Bob Lemmond said the appointment follows the company’s recent launches of Catalyst Policy and Catalyst Voice and forms part of a wider effort to strengthen its solutions and regional leadership in support of its growth ambitions.
“Omar’s deep expertise in risk, governance, and compliance will be invaluable as organisations navigate an evolving landscape shaped by artificial intelligence (AI). His leadership will help us build on our momentum in APAC and advance our mission to foster ethical cultures and drive principled performance,” he said in a statement.
Malik brings more than 20 years of commercial and leadership experience in APAC. He was most recently Regional Director for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand at information analytics company Elsevier, where he led go-to-market strategy and enterprise client relationship management.
Prior to that, he was Head of Compliance Learning Sales for APAC at Thomson Reuters, where he played an important role in expanding the business across the region. Malik began his career as a software engineer.
“Organisations are navigating increasingly complex expectations around ethics, compliance, and culture, and they need partners who understand both their business and the markets in which they operate,” Malik said.
He added that he aimed to build on LRN’s existing foundation, collaborate closely with clients and expand the company’s impact across APAC.
