KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- PKT Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd has entered into a strategic collaboration with Daiso Malaysia Group Sdn Bhd to improve logistics efficiency.
“PKT provides a comprehensive range of logistics services, including customs brokerage and trade facilitation, freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation and other related services,” said PKT in a statement today.
Daiso Malaysia is principally involved in the storage, warehousing, distribution, retail, import and export of Daiso-branded products, including household items, cosmetics and general consumer goods.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed today in conjunction with the grand opening ceremony of Daiso Malaysia's new GDC in Pulau Indah, Selangor.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Transport Minister Anthony Loke, alongside representatives from both companies.
The newly launched GDC, equipped with an advanced automated storage and retrieval system as well as smart logistics technology, is designed to improve warehousing and distribution efficiency while supporting Daiso's export operations to 27 countries worldwide.
With a total investment of RM1.2 billion, the GDC development spans 1.6 million sq ft of land, including a 1.4 million sq ft bonded warehouse.
The MoU brings together PKT's expertise in logistics services and Daiso Malaysia's experience in warehousing, distribution and retail operations.
